Synopsis
Mordecai and Rigby attempt to sabotage a duo Benson is considering hiring to save their jobs.
Plot
The episode begins with a phone message from Margaret and Eileen to Mordecai and Rigby, complimenting them on their party from the previous night. Mordecai, in a daze, realizes that Rigby had set the alarm clock to 6 PM rather than 6 AM, and that they are both two hours late for their meeting with Benson by the Paddle Boats. They hastily clean up the house and drive the golf cart to the paddle boats. As they drive, Mordecai voices his concern that Benson will not forgive them this time, being late five times beforehand.
When Mordecai and Rigby pull up to the paddle boats, they see Benson talking with Jeremy and Chad. Benson instructs Jeremy and Chad to clean and check the paddle boats, and is delighted when they agree easily. Realizing that Benson will fire them, Mordecai and Rigby talk to Benson. Benson tells the two to 'not worry about it', stating people who make mistakes 'end up having to pay for those mistakes'. They insist on being assigned a job, but are reassured by Benson that Jeremy and Chad are capable.
