HD Monsters Inc. 2
We've patiently waited for any news on the rumored Monsters Inc. sequel. Whispers of a "Monsters Inc. University" storyline were circulating, but now the whole plot has been leaked!
According to The Disney Blog the movie does have a University bent to it, but instead of Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) and James P. Sullivan (John Goodman) going back to school as professors (as some of the past reports speculated) this movie will be an origins tale. Crystal and Goodman are coming back as college years Sully and Mike. "The sequel will tell the story of Mike and Sully's first meeting at school. They couldn't stand each other, but they overcame their differences to become friends."
The release date has been supposedly set for June 21, 2013. While we're super happy we're getting more monsters, we're sad that we'll never know if the little girl in Toy Story 3 was really Boo or not. Ah well, it will just be a Pixar mystery!
