Easy Monsters Inc. Nails

How freakin’ cool is this Nail Art? To celebrate the release of Monsters, Inc. 3D (in cinemas 18th January), Kayleigh O’Connor created this Monsterised Manicure for the occasion! Now, who wouldn’t want a little of Sulley, Mike and Boo on their fingers?

Monsters, Inc. 3D is the computer animated comedy-adventure movie from our favourite animation studios, Disney Pixar! Starring the voice talents of John Goodman, Billy Crystal, Mary Gibbs, Steve Buscemi, Bob Peterson, John Ratzenberger, Frank Oz and Bonnie Hunt, it is definitely up there as one of our favourite Pixar films (and that’s saying something!).

Directed by the extremely talented Pete Docter, who also brought us Up, Monsters, Inc. 3D will be an exploration into Monstropolis like we’ve never seen before. Set in the fictional city, where monsters of all shapes and sizes live together, side-by-side, Monsters, Inc. 3D is the story of loveable Sulley (Goodman) and his wisecracking best friend, Mike Wazowski (Crystal) – and now we get to see it in stunning 3D!

The pair are best friends and the top-scaring team at Monsters, Inc. – the largest scream-processing factory in the monstering world. In Monstropolis, the main power source is the collected screams of human children, and at Monsters, Inc., an elite team of scarers work to gather these precious natural resources. Believed to be toxic, children are strictly forbidden from entering Monstropolis; and any human objects found in the monstering world will result in a 23-19!

But when a little girl named Boo (Gibbs) accidentally follows Sulley back into his world, he finds his career in jeopardy and his life in utter chaos. So with his reluctant pal Mike, the pair plan to rectify their mistake and return Boo safely home. But nothing is easy in the factory, and as their plan backfires, they become increasingly involved in a cover-up scandal, catapulting them into a mystery beyond their wildest, scariest dreams.

Unfortunately the film missed out on the first ever Oscar for Best Animated Picture to Shrek (day-light robbery!), but it did win Best Song for the ever-awesome If I Didn’t Have You by Randy Newman. We reckon 2013 could be Mike and Sulley’s year though, because Monsters University opens its doors on 21st June; as a prequel to the well-loved original. Directed by Dan Scanlon (a previous co-director on the brilliant short Mater and the Ghostlight), there’s no better way to re-enter the monstering world than catching Monsters, Inc. 3D in cinemas from 18th January!
