Monster High™: Boo York, Boo York (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) CD will be released on September 25 by ABKCO Records through its Little World Records imprint.
This is part of a continuing relationship between Mattel and Little World, which has already released CD soundtracks for Barbie® and American Girl® lines. Boo York, Boo York is the first ever Monster High™ musical featuring 8 original songs, with a CD soundtrack.
Monster High™ follows the lives of high school students who just happen to be monsters. They face the same trials and tribulations as everyone else – social aspects of fitting in, standing out, crushes, first dances and overall survival.
Monster High™: Boo York, Boo York, which will be released by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment on Blu-ray™, DVD and HD Digital with Ultraviolet™ on September 29, follows the ghouls to “fangtastic” Boo York City.
Cleo de Nile™ is invited to attend a fancy gala celebrating the return of a magical comet, and she brings along her beast friends. Their trip isn’t all fun and “frightseeing” because Nefera, Cleo’s older sister, uses the comet’s powers for her own spooktacularly sneaky plans. The monsters then must unwrap the mystery of the comet in time to stop Nefera.
The soundtrack CD features eight original songs featured in the film, as well as two bonus tracks (“We Are Monster High” and “Monster High Fright Song”). This soundtrack accompanies the release of a new doll line and accessories for Boo York, Boo York in conjunction with the film.
