Lake Erie Monsters Jersey auction
The Lake Erie Monsters will host Make-A-Wish Night at the Quicken Loans Arena this Saturday, February 21 when the Monsters take on the Rockford Icehogs at 7:00 p.m.
The Monsters have invited four local Make-A-Wish kids (Timothy, Kabir, Jori and Maxwell) to participate in the evening's festivities. The experience will start with a locker room tour and meet and greet with Monsters players. Each wish kid will also participate in special fan experiences during the game, including the ceremonial puck drop.
"The Monsters are thrilled to partner with Make-A-Wish for our game this Saturday night, " said Monsters Sr. Vice President and COO Mike Ostrowski. "We commend them for all of their outstanding work and are honored they will be at The Q for this special evening."
The Monsters players will be wearing special Make-A-Wish Jerseys on Saturday night and fans will be able to bid on these jerseys throughout the game. Partial proceeds from the special jersey auction will go toward a $5, 000 donation the Monsters will be presenting during the game to Make-A-Wish(r) Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana.
Funds raised will help Make-A-Wish grant and facilitate wishes to northeast Ohio children with life-threatening medical conditions. Fans can also support the night by purchasing tickets through this special fundraising offer:
"We are excited to partner with the Lake Erie Monsters for Make-A-Wish night, " said Development Officer Megan Cantrell. "Fans will have the opportunity to watch a great game of hockey, learn more about our mission and help make more wishes come true."
