Green Monster on Ghostbusters

Step 1:

Combine butter, corn syrup and brown sugar in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved.

Step 2:

Remove the pan from the heat and add the mini marshmallows.

Step 3:

Let the marshmallows sit in the pan for a minute or two to melt. Add vanilla and stir well until totally combined. It's going to be gooey!

Step 4:

Now it's time to add the food coloring to get the perfect slimy green for our popcorn. I used 6 drops each of yellow and green food coloring.

Step 5:

Now it's ready to pour over the popcorn!

Step 6:

Pour the green slime marshmallow goo over the popcorn and stir!

Step 7:

Dig in!

Look at all that ooey-gooey marshmallowy goodness! Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick butter)
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 Tablespoons light corn syrup
2 heaping cups miniature marshmallows (or 12 large)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 drops each green and yellow food coloring
8 cups popped popcorn

Instructions:
1. Place butter, brown sugar and corn syrup in a 3-quart sauce pan. Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
2. Remove from heat and add marshmallows and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
3. Add the green and yellow food coloring to create desired color.
4. Put the popcorn in a large bowl and pour the “green slime” marshmallow mixture over the popcorn. Stir with a large spoon until coated. Cover until ready to serve. Store in an airtight container.
